Should I text you now? 🌙📱
Yes - absolutely! 💬
🦉 Even if it’s late at night or early in the morning, you won’t wake me. I’ve set up Focus Modes for sleep and work, so if I’m resting or massaging, I won’t even see your message until I’m free. Do it now since you're thinking about it! 📲
👋 Just be sure to include a quick introduction with your name, and (optional but helpful) last name, so I can tell you apart from others with the same first name. Let me know what you’re specifically enquiring about, or which day and time you're thinking of. 📆
🤖 Otherwise, I might assume your message was spam and miss the chance to reply properly.
Do you have staff, or is it just you? 💆♂️🧺
It’s just me - massages here are always one-on-one, with no other therapists to choose from. I’m the rare, one-of-a-kind Peter Haze Massage action figure.
💬📲📋💆♂️🎵🧾🧺🫧✨
No team, no receptionist, no assistant - which means you get my full focus during your massage. But it also means I’m the one handling everything else: replying to messages, cleaning the bathroom, prepping the massage room, doing the laundry, and making the tea. 🫖
So if my replies are brief and to the point - usually quick booking confirmations - that’s just me keeping things organised and on track. Sometimes it’s via my Apple Watch, or an 🤖 AI shortcut between appointments. I do it this way so I can stay fully present when it matters most: on the massage table with you.
Where did you train for massage? 🎓🏋🏼
Experience: 🇦🇺 Australian Institute of Massage.
I trained in Australia, earning my qualifications from the Australian Institute of Massage and the Australian Institute of Fitness. My certifications include:
🎓 Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy (HLT50302) – Australian Institute of Massage (2007) 💆♂️ Certificate IV in Massage (HLT40302) – Australian Institute of Massage (2006) 👔 Seated Chair Massage Certification (2006) 🤾♂️ Sports Massage Certification – Australian Institute of Massage (2006) 🏋♂️ Certificate IV in Fitness (SRF40206) – AIF (2005)
With almost 19 years of experience, I continue to refine my skills through hands-on practice and ongoing learning.
Why "Haze" in Peter Haze Massage instead of Peter Hanslow Massage? 🟣 🎨
peterhazemassage.co.uk
🛜 I’m old enough to remember the birth of the internet and once young enough to have once wanted purple hair.🧞
💾 Back in the days of online chat rooms, I used "Haze" as a way to keep my last name private, choosing it through the classic "look around the room" method of picking a name.
🍺 Then, one day, I met a group of people from the chat in real life. At a bar, someone introduced me to the whole group as Peter Haze, and it just stuck. People have been calling me that ever since. 💟
👨💻 So when I started my massage business in 2006, I went with the name people already knew - something easier to remember, spell, and type than ❌peterhanslowmassage.com.au. And that's how
✅Peter Haze Massage was born!
So, if you're from Australia, why did you move to... Scarborough? ✈️🇬🇧
so frequently asked it's meme-able!
🦘 Honestly, I get it. People here dream of sunshine, beaches, and kangaroos casually hopping past their window (which, for the record, is not how Australia actually works). Meanwhile, I voluntarily swapped that for the North Sea and seagulls that steal your children… I mean chips! 🍟 (But yes, here - they are three times the size of Australian gulls.)
The short answer? Family. The global pandemic made the world feel smaller and bigger all at once, and when some of my family weren’t doing well, suddenly ✈️ a 24-hour flight felt way too far. When it became clear that things might lock down completely, I made the jump. Better to be a few hours' drive away than half a world apart.
The longer answer? Life is meant to be an adventure. 🥾 After decades in Australia, I wanted to shake things up, challenge myself, and see what it was like to start fresh in a new country. 🇬🇧 And while Yorkshire weather is… let’s call it refreshing, there’s something special about Scarborough. The community, the history, the charm (and yes, even the seagulls). 🪶
So, would I trade it back? Yeah, maybe. Ask me in January when the wind is trying to remove my face. But for now, Scarborough is home. 🏡
