  • Which app can I make a booking on? 📲✅
To keep your massage dates and times accurate and avoid any crossed wires, I only take appointments officially via WhatsApp or regular mobile text message. You’re welcome to message me on any social app for a chat, but I won’t be cross-referencing Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, or others for booking info. I’ll also need a mobile number saved in case I ever need to contact you directly - like if I rarely need to move your appointment in an emergency.
  • What hours do you work? 👐 ⏰
Massages are by appointment only - walk-ins are not appropriate. Monday to Friday: Start times from 8am to 8pm Saturday: Start times from 8am to 7pm Sunday: Start times from 8am to 6pm Your massage just needs to begin before the final start time - it’s fine if it finishes later. Let me know what time suits you.
  • Can I just show up for a walk-in appointment? 🚪🚶‍♂️
No, appointments must be booked in advance. Walk-ins are not appropriate as I manage my schedule carefully to ensure each client gets the best experience. However, it's not unusual to get a same-day appointment, just send me a text to check availability.
  • What do I need to include in my message so I can get booked in ASAP? 📱💬
A quick text with your details helps a lot - or you can use the contact form on this website, which includes the same questions. What’s your first name? And your last name? (There are usually others with the same first name, and I need to save your medical forms accurately and securely.) Your contact number, so I can text you back? What would you like to ask me or share? Which massage duration and price suits you? What day would you prefer? What time works best for you? (I’m available 8am to 8pm - starting times.)
  • Why don’t you answer phone calls? 📵🤖
🌍 📞 My phone number is publicly available online, and unfortunately, most incoming calls are spam - so I rarely answer unknown numbers. These days, most people prefer to send a quick text instead, which works much better for me too. 📲💬 If you text and introduce yourself, I can gauge if you’re a genuine person - not just another scammer or bot. That makes it much easier for me to respond. 🤫 Even if you’re already in my contacts, texting still works best. I can often reply quietly between appointments while someone is relaxing after their massage or getting ready to leave. I don’t take calls during that time - when you’re here for a massage, the time and space are yours. I do my best to keep the environment calm and uninterrupted, just as I would for your session. 📋 If you prefer, there’s also a contact form on this website with the basic questions I’ll ask, including your name, contact details, preferred massage duration & price, and the date & time that works best for you.
  • What if I arrive extra early for my appointment? 🚪⏰
💬🚙 If you arrive more than 5 mins early, please wait outside or in your car and send me a text to let me know you’re here.📲 🚪🛎️ ❌ Please do not ring the doorbell at this time, as I may be finishing preparations or someone may be relaxing on the table. You’re welcome to arrive about 5 minutes before your appointment time, but if it’s earlier than that, I may not be available to answer the door right away.
  • Can we book a couples massage? 💆‍♂️💆‍♂️
🔄 ✅ Not exactly - you can, but since I’m just one person, it would be one after the other rather than at the same time. For security reasons (& nothing personal!), I don’t allow the waiting partner to hang out in my home. But if you're happy to grab a coffee down at the seafront and watch the waves while you wait, back-to-back sessions can still be a lovely shared experience.
  • Do you massage women? 🤷‍♀️🙋‍♀️
Yes, I do massage women - but the website is designed with my main client base in mind. Over the past 18 years, the majority of people who book with me have been men, so the imagery and language here reflect that. It’s also true that women often prefer seeing women therapists, just as some men prefer seeing men. That’s absolutely okay. I welcome anyone who feels comfortable with me as their massage therapist. If you’re not sure whether this space or style is right for you, feel free to send a message and we can chat about it.
  • How do you know how long my massage went for? 💆‍♂️⏳
I use an on-screen silent visual timer that starts the moment your massage begins - not when you arrive or fill in your form. You’ll get to watch the short video tour and complete your touchscreen form first. Once you’re on the table and I begin the massage, that’s when the timer starts.
  • What if I fall asleep during the massage? 😴💆‍♂️
Totally fine - and very common. Falling asleep just means you've reached a deep level of relaxation, which is often the whole point. I’ve designed the space to support that, and I usually leave a short buffer at the end of your massage. So if you drift off and want to take a 20-minute nap before heading out, you're welcome to enjoy a quiet reset. Because this happens fairly often, I’ll usually ask at the start of your massage if you need to be anywhere afterwards - just in case you doze off and time gets stretchy. 💤
  • How soon should I book my next massage - after this one? 📆🔁
Just like a car overdue for a service, you don’t want to wait until something’s on fire before booking your next massage! Think about how many miles you’re clocking up in your body-and check in for that tune-up.
  • How much are your massages? 💷💆‍♂️
  • Is there a seperate charge for the 🚿 shower, 🔥 hot stones, ♨️ steam towels, or 🪻 aromatherapy oils?
Everything is all-inclusive with the massage price - no extra charges. The shower, hot stones, steam towels, and aromatherapy are all included. You can choose what suits you best or opt for neutral products if you prefer.
  • Do bank holidays cost extra? 📅✨
No, there’s no surcharge for appointments on bank holidays - but they do book up quickly, so it’s essential to plan ahead.
  • What if I feel unwell? 🤧 ❎
If you’re feeling unwell - even just mildly congested - it’s best to postpone your session until you’re better. Lying face down on the massage table can make breathing more difficult when you're blocked up, and I need to stay well so I can continue seeing others too. Just send a quick message as soon as you can. There’s no fee to reschedule due to illness, but I do ask that you let me know before your appointment time, not after. Even if you're unsure in the morning, giving me a heads-up really helps. If I’m ever unwell, I’ll do the same. I won’t work while sick, and I’ll always give you as much notice as possible if I need to reschedule.
  • Can I postpone? Or is there a postponement fee? 🔁💷
You can absolutely postpone your appointment - and there’s NO FEE to do so. Life happens, and I understand that plans sometimes need to shift. Just send a quick message preferably before your appointment so I know not to expect you, and we’ll find another time that works. The earlier you let me know, the easier it is to offer that time to someone else who’s waiting. If someone postpones frequently or gives very little notice each time, I may hold off on offering further advance bookings. It’s not about punishing anyone - it’s simply about keeping the schedule working fairly for everyone. That said… if you really feel bad about postponing, I’m not going to say no to a tip. 😜
  • Is there a cancellation fee? ❎ 💷
No, I don’t charge a cancellation fee. Life happens, and sometimes plans change - I’d always prefer you let me know than simply not show up. That said, if someone cancels at the last minute three appointments in a row, it really starts to disrupt the schedule and prevents others from booking. At that point, I may pause offering advance bookings to that person. It’s not a punishment per se - think of it more like a probation period. For the next three massages, you’d be welcome to book on the day only. Once those go ahead smoothly, you’re back on the nice list. 🎅🏻
  • Is there a late arrival fee? ⏰ 💷
Not at first! I get that delays happen But if you arrive 15 minutes or more late, here’s how it works: First time? No worries - these things happen. Second time? Consider this your heads-up. Third time? I may add a £20 rescheduling fee to your next massage - to help… clear your conscience. 😉 In any scenario (since I can't run over into someone else's up-and-coming appointment or cut into cleaning time buffer), you’ll have two options: Use the remaining time of your original session at the full price, or Reschedule and add £20 to your next scheduled massage - paid today while you're here, so you're really committed. 😄 I really try to keep a buffer between appointments and will always do my best to give you your full session if there’s time. But if someone’s booked after you, I can’t extend your slot - hence the two choices above. If lateness becomes a regular thing, I may pause offering advance bookings to that person. It’s not a punishment per se - think of it as a probationary period where you’ll only be able to go for same-day massages for 3 massages in a row, then you can go back to being on the nice list. 🎅🏻
  • What happens if I miss my appointment without contacting you? 📆👻
Things happen - plans change, life gets in the way. If you can’t make your appointment, a quick message is all it takes to let me know. But when there’s no contact at all, it becomes really difficult. I’m left not knowing whether you’re okay - or just gone. Missing an appointment without getting in touch shows a level of disrespect that I simply can’t work with. In those cases, I won’t offer future bookings. The only real exceptions are situations where someone is physically unable to reach out, like a really serious medical emergency. If I can let people know when I’m unavailable in a reasonable time frame, I just ask for the same courtesy. Even if it’s days or weeks later.
  • Where is your studio? It’s not showing the house # on the map? 🗺️ ⁉️
ah... street view is just a field? 🌾🌻 My studio is in Scalby, Scarborough, UK, but I don’t list the exact address publicly. Once you book, I’ll send you the full address with directions and parking details. This keeps the space private, ensures all appointments are by booking only, and prevents unexpected walk-ins.
  • Can I get there by bus? ♻️ 🚌
Yes! If you're taking the bus, the best options are: Bus 10 (most direct) Bus 9 (also a good option) Both stop at Field Lane / High Mill, which is the closest stop to my studio. From there, it’s just a very very short stroll. Taking the bus is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint while getting to your massage!
  • Is there parking? 🚘 🅿️
Yes! 🚗 Free parking available You can park on my driveway, right in front of the gate - no need to search for a spot. You’re not blocking anyone in (that car behind the gate is mine!). I’ll send directions when you book.
